I met Murray as the new day shift corrugater supervisor at carterholt Harvey in mangere He came across as quite a jovial fellow conscientious hard working and yes he had time for people I’ll never forget when my workmate Chris Burton (R.I.P) was given a terrible diagnoses of brain cancer Murray took the time to talk with his then G/F and find out about some possible complimentary treatments speaks volumes of the guy . Also fond memories of the lads under his supervision making up post man pat number plates in cardboard and fitting them over the legit plates on his Red Escort van , lol Murray took it all in his stride and had a good giggle over it . Very saddened to hear of his passing I’m honoured to have known him for a short time. It seems Murray had made a very nice life for himself in Australia was in business Married to a lovely lady and had children So pleased for Murray sounds like he had a wonderful life going. My sincerest condolences to Family and friends. May have been a fairly short innings Murray but you made a positive impression and lasting legacy Bless you on your heavenly travels bud Gone too soon Karl vB

No, I don’t believe that beautiful man is gone. We met in 1976 and always held Murray in the highest esteem. The world will be a sadder place without you in it. RIP
