...cont...I always admired your incredible strength both outward and inward. You never took an ounce of shit from anyone, but you were loyal and caring to the people who treated you kindly and with the respect you deserved. I particularly loved how you stood by Barbara and always seemed to have her back, holding space for her to be 100% true to herself. What a kind and caring soul that made you seem in my eyes. Your dedication to fathering Meera was a model of how to father a child.
I got the strong impression that you gave what you would like in return, and Baraba became increasingly the rock behind you, allowing you the space to be 100% true to yourself too. As with your life, your death was on your terms.
You are a great example to us all in how to stand resolutely by your loved ones as they choose their destinies in this world. Thank you for your gifts. Blessed be!
Love to your loved ones

Dear Digby - I didn't know you well or for that long but your presence was as a rock behind a dear friend - your wife Barbara. Your artistic and skillful building work will be part of our property for a long time into the future. Your work showed incredible physical strength and power, but also imagination and beauty. You were a master craftsman....cont...

I will always remember Grandad as a strong man with a gentle soul who was dearly loved by all of our family. Affectionately known as Grandad Blue, he will forever be missed by us all. I wish we could have been there to say goodbye. Sending all of our love, Bree, Chris and Kai.

We both really liked Digby, he was warm and friendly and funny and smart and skilled and had layers of sensitivity and depth that was just there. He went too quick..we would both have liked to have gotten to know him more. The last time we met around a table we all laughed so much..even as life was becoming more difficult for him. He leaves behind a family and a wife who embody his love support and intelligence and creativity and we are so so sorry for their loss... We cannot think of Digby without feeling his warmth now...these words come to my mind as i write this..May the longtime sun shine upon you ..and all love surround you and the pure light within you ..guide your way on... much much love from Charam and Deborah ..

Digby was a great man, brutally honest, passionate, gentle, caring and very funny! We shared such good times together, camping at Jerusalem Creek, barbeques in our backyards, cosy evenings at Rosebank by the fire, watching our kids grow. Digby's craft and skill surrounds us in our home and we are reminded of him every day. No matter, it's bloody sad that Digby is gone and this is a really difficult time. Although words can never be enough, please know that we are thinking of you, Barbara and Meera, and sending all our love to you - up over the mountains and across the Nullabor Plain.
