I regret the time I have missed with her. I am not nor have I been the best son. She always welcomed me and loved me. My heart dropped when I heard the news. To my brothers and sisters, I feel your pain, but know that her life was one of honour and love for us all. Her soul is now the God, I look forward to seeing her in almighty heaven. My family thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dearest Oma, the one who instilled in me a passion and desire to pursue a love of music which continues to this day, who showed me thanklessly how to accompany a congregation well and whose apple cake will continue to salivate my pallet every day. Thank you for being a grandmother who was always wanting to know what I was on about, what I was reading, how law school was going, and who never ceased to always shed a tear of joy whenever I dropped by in the later years. Whilst I know you are now enjoying glory and have seen our Heavenly Father face to face, I am sad at the thought of not seeing your face on this earth again. Much treasured memories of a much loved grandmother. Dearest Opa, my thoughts have been with you today even though circumstances have prevented me from being home. God is good, and his love and faithfulness endures forever.

Loving thoughts and memories remain with us especially of Mennie playing hymn number 32 (Psalm 46) with great aplomb and gusto on Scots organ ! We always had great fun and many laughs together. God bless you Len.

"Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise." Psalm 100. We are thankful to God that we could meet Mennie on this earth, and appreciate her hospitality, kindness, cheerfulness and craft skills some years ago. Our thoughts are with Len and family as you farewell her for a little while. May the Lord be your comfort and strength.
