ALBERT “BERT” DETERMES

I worked with Bert for a number of years, he was a friendly, loyal and fair Officer, he will be sadly missed. We will be there to farewell him. Condolences to Bert's family.

Condolences to Bert’s family, friends and retired “Black Button” Australian Customs Officers.

Bert and I were a two man team in the Subsidies section at the Fremantle Malls. He was a good man to work with, a regular gentleman. However he really enjoyed getting away from the office on the week long trips we made into the countryside. Sad to see him go my condolences to Bert's family.

Bert was my real buddy for many years in and out of customs' will miss him so much..., on my trips to albany . our coffee at emu point cafe and then in his unit at the RAAF home. will never be forgotten. a real gentle man, just loved the little guy was such a pleasure to have him as a friend and work mate . RIP my friend

I worked with Bert in Customs for many years and remember him with fondness as one of the best I was honored to work with both at Fremantle and the Airport. R.I.P Bert.

Bert was my friend & work mate for many years in the Australian Customs Service, in which he served his country with distinction. Our friendship continued on into Retirement with a regular communication. To the family, my condolences. Open up a new e-mail address Bert & keep in touch.

Even though he was much senior and I did not serve very long in the service I recall his very dry and wry humour - a great joke and story teller. A quiet gentleman whose two other good mates were Dennis Fullarton and Haddon Rudkin. To all the families may the Peace of God be with you.
