To Violet, his four boys and all the Benson Family our heartfelt deepest sympathy in the loss of your beloved Gerard. We were lucky he called in to see us with Violet on his way to Betty's Beach last March and we had a lovely long chat, little did we know it would be our last. Wonderful neighbour from years past and dear friend. May he rest in peace with the Lord. Gary & Erika Woolhouse and Family

A tall man with a soft heart. Gerard enjoyed the simple things camping in the bush, fishing and collecting treasures we were like minded in that. We have some treasures in our home and garden. We had a lot in common, Gerard would often phone or pop in to catch up, we loved that about him, he always got in touch. I would like when he gets to heaven to punch God in the nose for taking him too soon. We will miss him deeply, love you Gedda.

No words can ever express the love I have for my youngest brother Gerard. We weren't just siblings, we were great mates, friends, confidants. When ever a hand was needed, a shoulder to cry on, a joke to share, he was there. I will miss him deeply, but my memories will never fade. Eileen
