As bloddy foreiners from Munich, we have been with Ian and Chenda on seversl trips up to these special areas, where trees developped a belly..
Ian decided where to go, and Chemda prepared what to eat.
And at the end of theses long days,we all were happy.

What wonderful memories back home.

Much love and admiration from
The HamiltonForough family. It is so poignant that the second of the two eldest children of Mum and Lois has now died. I visited Ian and Richenda more than a quarter of a century ago and felt enormous respect
For their pioneering labours in WA’s south West. It was also special to catch up with Ian and Chenda at Kay’s wedding. Our hearts and sympathy are with Chenda and the family.

Words will never completely capture or descibe Goldy. What he achieved for his family, his friends, his community almost fades into insignificance when your reflect on how Ian's grace, wisdom, humour, his generous soul and deeds imprinted on your heart. Goldy passing leaves a hole that will never be filled.
Rest In Peace Ian

The Goldfinch family has been a bedrock of the Ravensthorpe and Jerdacuttup communities for decades. Ian was the best politician that never made it to parliament. He was fair, firm and witty and a great listener. I will miss the old bugger as we would always a discussion about world, state and Australian affairs. It will be something I will really miss. Good thing he has a strong wife in Chenda and a the boys. I know the service for him will reveal a voluminous range of achievements he has done. The world needs more Goldies.
