Darsh Bhanji you have gone bit too early. We will cherish our time together in Adelaide and Albany when I visit you. I wish I meet you bit earlier while we were married in to same family. We had lots of laughs and long talks on the phone quite often. I wish you didn't stop me coming over to Albany in June and too late you are not with us for Xmas. RIP till we meet again. You are with us in our heart.

I am deeply saddened by the news of passing away of Darshan Kaur Patel, my maternal aunt and another gem I'm " Patel family". Darsho massi as I would call her, was a true warrier, who chose to live her life on her own terms and face all the challenges of life head-on with lots of grace and courage. Having lived most of her life in Australia, her character was strongly marked by strength, values, independence and lots of love that echoed through the lives of many who crossed her path. She may no longer be with us, but she will live forever in our hearts. My prayers to Great Guru Nanak for her next peaceful blessed journey. Love always Kanchan

Darsho' s demise is sad and painful. I recall when I met her for the first time about 60 years ago, she was a young girl- agile, smart with a smiling beautiful face. Later in life, she faced many ordeals of life with extreme courage, confidence and boldness. Her ancestors, who migrated from Pakistan in 1947, had a rich heritage, and were known for their benevolence, charitable works and contributions to social and religious affairs borh in India and Pakistan. Darsho preserved them and carried forward that legacy of her family across the seas. I believe at this age of 92 that God doesn't want anything from us, only expects that we should return the "soul" with the same purity as it was blessed to us at the time of our birth. I feel she belonged to the people of my faith. May Great Guru Nanak bless her soul and grant peace to the bereaved Patel family. AJIT SINGH DHAMI

Extremely sad to hear of this sad news. I travelled to Australia in the early 2000s with my best friend and stayed with my cousin, Tajinder Sahota. In our time there, I met my aunt’s sister (Darsh) and she was so welcoming and full of life. She embraced us and showed us so much love during our stay which I will always hold onto dearly. Years later we became friends over social media, and remained connected. As I had a family of my own, she displayed interest in my children and with them I have shared stories of what a kind and strong woman you were. You were a beautiful soul and I am lucky to have met you. May your soul rest in peace.

Darsh❤️❤️ You’ve been more than family by marriage; you’ve been family by heart. Your kindness, strength, and unwavering support have touched our lives in countless ways. You brought laughter into our homes, wisdom into our conversations, and warmth into every gathering. Whether through quiet gestures or bold acts of love, you’ve always made those around you feel seen, heard, and cherished. You stood as a sister, a confidante, and a friend. Your light has made dark days brighter, and your presence has been a comfort beyond measure. Thank you for the love you gave so freely. You will always be remembered not just for what you did, but for who you were — a beautiful soul who made this world better just by being in it. With love always,Harjit and Aroop

Thank you Darsh for nearly 40 years of friendship. You'd come stay with Paul, Sam, Jack and myself in Perth on your way to visit family in India or on an overseas holiday. We camped annually in Albany for some 20 years. You'd join us for a meal at the camp site, then we'd come to yours for one of you delicious curries. So many fond memories. You will be sadly missed. Condolences to your family. RIP Darsh. Love Del, Sam and Jack.

I won't be able to make it on Friday, but Darsh and the family will be foremost in my thoughts. RIP beautiful lady. Much love and God Bless your family. Janice xxx

I miss you deeply, my beloved younger sister. You will forever live in our hearts and memories. As long as we live, we will remember you with love and sorrow. May God grant you eternal peace. We never imagined you would leave us so suddenly. There was still so much we wanted to say, so many moments we thought we had left. Your Saturday calls always brought me such joy those conversations lit up my week and filled my heart. It breaks us that we couldn’t speak to you one last time after you were injured. That pain will stay with us, but so will the love, laughter, and bond we shared. You are gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
