To Myra and family - it has been a pleasure to watch Bob's Funeral service, particularly the tributes from Justine and Vanessa. So many things came to light that I did not know about, but was not surprised that Bob had achieved so many worthwhile things, he was a goer all ways. In the early 60'S he and I seemed to be the only of our classmates living in Denmark (except for George of course), all others having departed to Senior Hight School or jobs in other places - many an afternoon spent at his house playing his beloved Rolling Stones and Peter Paul and Mary records and my Beatles and Del Shannon records. And surfing, of course. I enjoyed his company at the Class of '62 reunion in 1992, courtesy of Marjo Wakka's efforts, but sadly missed him at the subsequent 60 year reunion in 2022. We were to have followed this up 3 years hence in 2025 but it hasn't happened I'm afraid. Though never a golfer myself I fondly remember the little trick he taught me about how to hit the ball straight down the fairway -it always worked when I actually hit the ball, but I was never very good at that part. And he was always buying Ansett shares - I hope he cashed them in before 2001. When he moved to Perth in 1965 ? he lived not far from Subiaco Oval and was able to actually climb the fence and have a kick there - you can't do that these days, at Optus, but it was a buzz then. We lost touch long ago, but I will always remember him as a very special friend who I sadly miss.

To Betty, Carol and Gary and families - so sorry to miss Bob's sendoff - have been checking in the paper for notices of the service but have missed it. Had some good times with Bob in the surf in the early 60's, and he took me under his wing when I went to Perth in 1966, showed me the coffee shop circuit and other entertainment, had a few kicks on Subiaco oval, just down from where he was living. Good times.

Deepest sympathy to Bob's family this sad time. A true friend for 50 years and will be sadly missed by all that new him. R.I.P. mate.
