Condolences to Belinda and all Tony’s family. Tony was my Dad’s best friend for most of their lives, so I’m feeling very fortunate that we grew up knowing him. We’ll miss his cheeky grin and the twinkle in his eye but we have so many special memories, of being bounced on his knee till we had laughed ourselves silly, adventures exploring the sheep farm and trying to find a clean cup in a sink full of dishes, and tales of scaring new farmhands with ‘giant’ kangaroos. He always made time to visit us whenever we were in town and invited us out to spoil us with mountainous feasts of chicken, coleslaw and cold boiled eggs that always tasted better at his place than our own home. He made time for everyone and it was a privilege to count him as ‘adopted’ family. He will be missed. May he rest in peace.
