Since our 1st consulting meetings of the Stirlings Group in 1983, I have watched you grow as both a farmer and leader in the farming community. You were indeed one of the leading early adopters of new farming technology and techniques, and I always knew that you could safely adapt the advice to suit your farming requirements. Who could have foreseen that within 30 years, this regions crops would have progressed from 20% crop to 80%, you all learned boomspraying techniques, adopted No-till, accepted fungicide use, coped with herbicide resistance, and so much more? Without farming leaders like you Mark - this would have been far less impressive, and WA much the poorer.

Our thoughts are with you Heather and the entire Adams family during this time. I am extremely appreciative for the time spent with Mark over the past few years in SCF. He was a genuine leader of change in WA; a positive influencer who consistently challenged the status quo around grain standards & modern farming practices, that always backed innovation, and fought very passionately for the betterment of not himself, but for the whole Ag & great southern communities combined. One to never shy away from the frank, honest conversations, I will always appreciate his insights shared and just how he called it how it really was. I will truly cherish the clarity and generosity he brought to every conversation. No doubt, his positive impacts will certainly continue to be felt across the industry that he both loved and consistently kept shaping. He will certainly be greatly missed by all.

Absolutely Heart broken from this. Mark taught me alot of discipline in farming, he set a high standard in agriculture, and i was only a teenager when I lived on the Adams Family farm. It saddens me to think of the hard effort this man has put in to provide such a great future for his family, and he doesnt get to see it. Im so sorry Heather, Stephen, Kim, and Hogget. Look out for each other, your Dads very proud of you all, and continue to farm in his honor. Best wishes

Heather, Steven, Kim, Hoggett, Rachel, and Nathan, Ben and I don’t even know how to put into words how deeply sorry we are. You are all constantly in our thoughts, and we truly wish we could be there with you to celebrate the incredible person Mark was. He (and all of you) welcomed two English backpackers into your family with open arms. You taught us so much, made us laugh every single day, and encouraged a love of farming we didn’t even know we needed. Those memories will stay with us forever. Mark will be so greatly missed, but he will always live on in our hearts and in the moments we were lucky enough to share with him. Sending you all our love and strength, Ben & Amy xx

Dear Heather and family, On behalf of GIWA, can I express our deepest sympathies for your loss. Mark was a tireless advocate for southern barley growers during his time on the GIWA Barley Council. On the Council he was highly respected for his thoughtful views and positive contributions. We will all miss him deeply and Western Australia is a poorly place without him. Kind regards, David Moody, Chair, GIWA Barley Council.

Dear Heather and families, Deepest condolences on the loss of Mark. A true professional as a Director of the Mount Barker Co-Op, who's words and advice were always considered and balanced. Mark dedicated himself to the community in so many ways but let his actions speak louder than his words. - Gary Tempany ex CEO.

It is with shared sadness that I acknowledge the passing of Mark Adams, respected farmer, community contributor, and steadfast steward of the land. Mark’s legacy is evident in the landscapes he nurtured and in the many individuals he supported with his knowledge, generosity, and quiet leadership. His work reflected a lifetime of care for the soil, the seasons, and the people who shared in the challenges and rewards of farming life. I extend my heartfelt condolences to Mark’s family, friends, and all those who were shaped by his presence. May you find comfort in the enduring impact of his life, the memories he leaves behind, and the assurance that his work and character have made a lasting difference. Mark will be greatly missed, yet fondly remembered.
