Dear Sue & family, we are thinking of you & praying for you at this sad time. But for Elvie, she is with her Lord, rejoicing. She was such a special lady. I loved the occasional catch-up with her, lots of laughs but especially hearing what the Lord had done in her life. Sending our love, Sue & Barry

Dear Sue, Brent & family, Our heartfelt condolences on the loss of your dear Mum. She was such a faithful and generous lady. I have happy memories of our trip to South Africa when Troode st was supporting the Africa School of Missions, and Yvonne Woods. We had such a great trip and we laughed so much. Elvie sewed curtains for Yvonne and we both pitched in helping where we could. I will always remember this special time with her. Now resting and worshipping with her saviour.

Zara says Elvie was always very kind and loving and we will miss her. I will miss the many hugs, laughs and that if we needed prayer Elvie was one of the first to come to our home or pray with us at church. I remember painting with her, sewing and helping make costumes or being measured for one. I loved being able to join in with her God given creative spirit, even in such a small way. If Elvie had such an impact in my life, then my heart goes out all the more to all of her family and closest friends. xx

Dear Sue & family, We are so sorry for your great loss. Please accept our heartfelt condolences. Elvie will be missed by many. All of our love to you as you grieve this beautiful, creative and generous woman of steadfast faith. A favourite memory of mine (Chelsea's) and one that marked me, was seeing her with hands raised in worship at Troode St following the fire at her place. She was incredible.
