To Sheryl and Jennie, sorry I only just learned of Elsie’s passing as I would have loved to have been at her funeral. What a gracious lady she was, and a quiet but wicked sense of humour. I very much enjoyed our time together at juniper and she will be sorely missed by everyone there. Much love to you both and the rest of the family. Merinda x

Such a beautiful service and tribute for your mum Elsie. Her life was lived to the fullest, her smile was infectious and she will be missed. Our sincere condolences to you Sheryl, Jenny and Peter on the passing of your wonderful Mum Elsie. I had the privilege of spending many nights on the loungeroom carpet at 75 Hillman St. And around the kitchen table it was Mrs L who cured me of my fussy adolescent culinary tastes with just three words - "Eat it Freddy!" And so, with fear in my heart, I did. But Mr and Mrs L were more than just my hosts, they were spiritual parents to a young man in danger of losing his religion. Their impact on my spiritual journey is something for which I will remain eternally grateful. As we consider Elsie's life and legacy, we get to decide whether we'll see her on the other side. Dear Peter, Sending you and your family much love during this very sad and difficult time. No matter how old we are, losing a parent is one of life's greatest losses. The bond we share with them stays with us throughout our lives, and saying goodbye is never easy.
