HEATHER LORNA HALLS

It is with heavy hearts that we farewell our loving Mum and Nana, Heather Lorna Halls. Coming down to Albany will not be the same for our family without your loving home as our destination. The dog would go nuts as we pulled into your street and as soon as the car stopped, the kids would jump out and race into the warm hugs of beloved Nana. Your home was always such a warm, welcoming and happy place where the kids knew how much they were loved and we were always thrilled to visit. Even the dog got a special place on the couch. If rules were broken, a blind eye was turned, and sweet treats were on offer 24/7. This unconditional love taught us all about the importance of family and we know that family was the most important thing to you. Your kindness, openness, acceptance, love adventurous nature, and sense of humour can be seen in each and every one of your beautiful grand kids. You can be so proud of the beautiful caring humans they have all grown into. It is lovely to see them interact together and see your loving qualities shine through in their. You were very much loved by your family and we will miss you dearly. Rest peacefully beautiful lady and know that we will carry the love you gave us, in our hearts forever.

I loved spending time with your mum and dad. I remember when I was a child and my mum and dad would put me on the bus and send me to Mildura to stay with Aunty Heather and Uncle Allen, catching up with them when I was living in Perth and taking my mum and dad to Sterling to visit with them or when mum and dad would come to Perth and visit me, if they stayed for a meal Aunty Heather would always say I hope that doesn't have garlic in it I don't eat garlic, or when I moved back to Broken Hill and found out that they were in Mildura I would make every effort to get there just so as I could see them. It has been hard not being able to be there with you guys for both mum and dads funerals. I miss them both very much and often think of them, bet David is glad I left Perth and my early morning visits. Loved to all you are in my thoughts.

Aunty Heather. I will always miss you. Your laugh, warmth, love. I remember growing up when you were in merbien, spending a full day at your place alone with rest of my siblings and mum n sad. Catching up with many of my aunt, uncles and cousins while holidaying in Mildura.. then catching up with you and uncle Allan back in late 198? Having to spend a week with you guys riding a horse you had there. Love you and miss you. Cousins. (David, Helen, Peter and Ross) Deepest condolences to you and your families.

Heather, we met as young girls at the Anabranch and became best mates. We had lots of fun as kids which continued throughout our entire lives. You always said you were going to marry my older brother Allen and true to your word you did. You will be sadly missed but you and Allen will be together again forever. Love you both Joan xx

Heather was such a wonderful, down-to-earth and kind lady, who instantly made people feel at ease. I have very fond memories of being on the "Halls bus" with Heather, Allen and YB throughout all of my primary school years. How wonderful to grow up in a community where everyone knows and supports each other and friends are more like family. My deepest condolences to Helen, David, Ross and the rest of Heather's family at this difficult time. Rest at peace now, Mrs Halls xx

Our Nanny Halls, a woman who filled my childhood with love, laughter, and her classic “Sugar!”… usually followed by an “oh god” for good measure. She had a way of making everything feel lighter, funnier, and somehow perfectly her. She gave me a childhood full of sheep‑farm holidays, bus rides, roast dinners, and the kind of memories that stay soft in your heart. And even in recent years, she kept creating moments we’ll never forget — bonding with Abbey over fossilised poo, laughing with the great‑grandkids in the McDonalds drive-thru and sitting in the caravan with Poppy while the kids ran up for their afternoon packet of Jumpies. Nanny Halls was warm, funny, and wonderfully herself. We were lucky to be loved by her, and we’ll carry her humour and her heart with us always.

Fond memories of a kind and loving lady who loved her family. Thank you Heather for the love you gave my children and grandchildren. I know how much you will be missed by those who loved you. Rest peacefully dear lady ❤️
